We will not talk “at” you but “with” you to make the training experience enjoyable for you and your dog.
You will be delighted to see how quickly your dog responds to positive and gentle techniques.
Intimidation and aversive methods are not used in any of our programs.
Where Learning is Fun
Located in the beautiful foothills of the Northern Cascades, Sunny Lane Canine Academy in Sedro Woolley is a fun and friendly place
for dogs and humans alike. We offer an indoor training room, a large off leash area, and a
doggie nature walk in a rustic and natural setting.
Note: Due to tree damage, the location on Sunny Lane is currently closed.
It will reopen in 2020. Until then, classes and events will be held at Doggy Come Play
in Burlington and through the Mt. Vernon Parks and Recreation Department (search for PUPPY).
Thank you for your patience.
See our Calendar
for class dates and locations, special events, and workshops.
Carmen works with a network of other professional trainers and specialists. If your dog has special issues or needs, not offered at Sunny Lane,
you will be referred to someone who can help you.
A Message from Carmen
Working with dogs is my passion and my life. Over the many long years that I have been training,
I have not lost my love and fascination for these adorable creatures, which I consider
gift from God. More
With over 40 years experience, Carmen Williams knows dogs! Her techniques are promoted by leading canine behaviorists.
She is a certified trainer, dog counselor (CC), an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and a dedicated teacher.
It came to me that every time I lose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them,
and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough,
all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become
as generous and loving as they are.
